Before the inception of Sundance Seafoods Ltd., the family was involved in fishing crab, salmon and halibut on a boat named “The Sundance Kid”. The fishing business was prospering but when two baby girls came into the Denike family, a change needed to be made. In order to be closer to the family, Sundance Seafoods Ltd. was started in 1990. With a solid understanding of fish and the fishers that take care of their catch, Sundance Seafoods began offering gourmet quality, smoked salmon products under the brand “West Coast Select”.
From its humble beginnings, Sundance Seafoods has built the brand with a passion and an attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality possible. Adhering to these higher standards, our fishers properly handle, clean or dress the fish then deliver them in a timely manner; all necessary in order to bear our brand of West Coast Select.
Utilizing the five species of wild salmon, our product line now exceeds over 130 different sizes and items. West Coast Select offers two distinct product lines to meet the needs of retailers – one that is sold frozen and the other, a complete line of non-refrigerated products. Our frozen line is well regarded in the fine dining restaurant industry as well as high-end grocers, delis and gift shops.
